A037 Beech Wood Keepsake Box

This small keepsake box is cut from 100% wood, specifically beech, and is supplied in its natural wooden colour. Material and form

Beech is a close-grained hardwood, which matters for the decoration stage. Tight grain takes both laser engraving and UV printing cleanly, so fine lines and small text stay legible instead of bleeding into the surface. The box is built as a ring box, but the format also works as a cufflinks holder, a tooth box, a pet ash memorial box, or a general wooden gift organizer. Decoration: laser engraving and UV printing

Two processes are available, and they behave differently on wood.

• LS (laser engraving) burns the artwork into the beech surface. The mark is tonal, permanent and cannot be rubbed off. It suits monograms, dates, short names and simple line marks.
• UV printing lays colour onto the surface. It is the option to choose when the artwork has more than one colour, gradients, or a filled logo.

Both are listed with standard placement, so artwork is positioned on the main face of the box.

Printable areas

Three print areas are specified, and they are not interchangeable. Choose according to the artwork, not the size alone.

The 10 x 10 cm UV area is the largest of the three and is the one to use when the design needs room. The 3.6 x 3.6 cm laser area and the 3.5 x 3.5 cm UV area are close in size, so the deciding factor is colour: engraving for a single-tone, permanent mark, UV for anything printed in colour.
