Decoration: UV print and laser engraving

Two decoration processes are available on this box, and they behave differently on pine.

• UV print (UB) — a 8 x 8 cm area in the standard placement. UV printing lays colour onto the surface, so it suits artwork with multiple colours, illustrated motifs, names in a chosen typeface, or a printed birth-date panel.
• LS laser (LP) — the same 8 x 8 cm area in the standard placement. Laser engraving removes material rather than adding it, producing a burned, recessed mark in the wood's own tone. It suits line art, monograms, dates and simple typography, and it will not flake or peel because there is no ink layer.

Both options sit inside the same 8 x 8 cm footprint, so a design prepared for one process can generally be adapted to the other without reworking the layout. If your artwork relies on fine gradients or photographic detail, UV print is the more faithful route; if you want a mark that reads as part of the wood, choose laser.
